Karen Desmet

Karen brings over a decade of international experience in finance and operations, having started her career with InterContinental Hotels across Amsterdam, London, Chicago, and Edinburgh. Her global perspective was further shaped by auditing roles that took her to Zambia, Egypt, Colombia, and Australia.

Driven by a love for diverse cultures and a good dose of humor, Karen later expanded her expertise across industries including payroll, recruitment, and marketing. In 2019, she made a purposeful shift towards impact-driven organisations — supporting sustainability-focused companies in plant-based food, reforestation, and service design.

At Bopinc, Karen helps keep our finances sharp and our operations running smoothly. She is also the founder of GreenerFinance, a personal initiative reflecting her deep commitment to a greener future.
