Leveraging digital possibilities

The DaNa Facility moved its Fintech Challenge Myanmar 2020 online, including the seven deep dive sessions planned around the key priority areas of the event.  Bopinc facilitated the high-level, deep dive discussions, supported by technical partners, through leveraging all the possibilities of online channels and platforms to effectively achieve this goal in the virtual context. The webinars focused on key fintech topics like: Green Finance; Microinsurance; e-KYC / Electronic Identity Verification; Digital and Financial Literacy; Digital Remittances, MSME Finance / Alternative Lending, and cash transfers.

The Fintech Challenge Myanmar was a unique opportunity for fintechs, policy makers, banks and other financial service providers to sit around the same (virtual) table. Fintechs could openly discuss challenges they face in the space of MSME financing, e-KYC, green finance and digital remittances to name a few, as well as co-create ideas with potential partners to overcome them. It was a very inspiring process!
