Beryl Oyier

Beryl is an inclusive business leader with a background in social and medical anthropology attained through a career spanning over 10 years. She has acquired key project management and technical skills in different low-income markets in Africa including urban, peri- urban and rural market segments. She has implemented and given oversight in projects and activities in Kenya, Zambia, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia and Nigeria.

As the Managing Director for East Africa at BoP Innovation Center, Beryl leads programs and companies both multinationals, small and medium-sized enterprises in inclusive business models working with inclusive innovation approaches-tools, inclusive business empowerment tools and generating marketing and distribution strategies for low income communities to spur entrepreneurship and empowerment. The sectors of work include agri-food, renewable energy and WASH with a focus on bringing in gender transformative approaches.

Beryl holds a Master of Arts (MA) and Bachelor of Arts (BA) degrees in Anthropology both from the University of Nairobi.
