As Marketing & Business Developer, Nick supports organizations to develop and implement marketing and business strategies in BoP markets in order to reach scale. By applying a multidisciplinary approach, Nick is able to work in various industries in which he combines business, marketing and design practices. His aim is to develop, together with partners and clients, innovative marketing approaches that thrive inclusive business in meaningful ways.
A central part of his work is to use user-centered design processes and to conceptualize and test pilots. Nick’s experience in the field of entrepreneurship enables him to proactively support business development across the innovation cycle - from ideation and opportunity identification, to business plan development and implementing pilots.
In the previous years Nick has started and supported several enterprises across India and Europe, providing him with versatile experiences in project management, cutting across cultures and industries. Nick has a Master’s degree in Strategic Product Design and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design Engineering, both from Delft University of Technology in Delft.
Nick’s focus is on addressing global challenges in the agri, food, retail and water sectors. Inclusiveness is his belief, as he is deeply convinced that innovative businesses can foster economic and environmental sustainability throughout the value chain, including the Base of the Pyramid.
